LeaderShape LoneStar Institute
ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵis looking for 20 dedicated student leaders to participate in a very exciting leadership opportunity in collaboration with Texas Christian University (TCU) and the University of Baylor called LeaderShape Lone Star Institute.
is an organization that assists students in gaining leadership skills, identifying their values, and teaching them resiliency as they work to make change in their communities and impact society to have more people working towards a just, caring, and thriving world. LeaderShape Lone Star Institute is an institutional collaboration with Baylor, TCU, and ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵat the end of winter break in 2025. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow as a leader, interact with other ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵstudent leaders, meet student leaders from various institutions, and gain leadership skills you can bring back to SMU. LeaderShape is particularly beneficial to rising student leaders who are typically a first or second-year student or a student leader looking for further leadership development.
Details about LeaderShape Lone Star Institute:
Dates: Wednesday, January 8 – Saturday, January 11, 2025
Location: Mt. Lebanon camp and retreat center in Cedar Hill, TX
- All students will need to be on campus and ready to depart to Mt. Lebanon early Wednesday, January 8th (if you are an international student or coming in from outside of the DFW area please notify us via email)
- 60 students will be in attendance (around 20 per institution) from SMU, TCU, Baylor.
- Our very own Dr. Jennifer Jones will be co-leading LeaderShape! There will also be several other ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵstaff in attendance for the duration of LeaderShape.
